Maths Art Workshops

Mathematician Katie Steckles & I worked together together to develop three maths art workshops

  • Shape & Symmetry - mathematically constructing a mandala, leaning about ruler & compass construction and the cultural significance of mandalas along the way. We also do a snowflake version of this.

  • Colourful maths - exploring the mathematics of colouring problems, colour mixing and more

  • Symmetry & Pattern - exploring different types of symmetry & producing a piece of symmetrical artwork
